The design
Depth, warmth and quiet detail.
Ember sets the deep grain of dark stained oak against a softly curved microcement island. Microcement continues across the worktops, splashback and floor, creating a calm, continuous backdrop to the timber. Warm lighting draws out the oak and gives the long run of handleless cabinetry a quiet rhythm. Push-to-open drawers and cupboards keep the fronts clear, with an integrated fridge-freezer designed to open the same way. The recessed seating connects the island to the dining area, while the integrated sink keeps its surface uncluttered. Each Ember kitchen is designed around its space, with the final layout, materials, fittings and finishes agreed for the individual project.
These images show a design concept. Push-to-open fittings and the integrated fridge-freezer opening system, along with materials and finishes, are specified for each commission.
